Florida Water Resources Conference brings together the industry's leading experts dedicated to the improvement of the quality of water in the State of Florida. From the basic fundamentals to the most complex issues, submit your ideas for possible inclusion in the 2010 conference program.

FORMATTING & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES


STEP 1
Identify an issue/technology/project that is relevant and informational to the industry.


STEP 2
Develop a well written, 300-400 word, 1-page synopsis of the key points to be addressed in the proposed presentation. Selections are based on abstract, so please make it interesting to the reader!


STEP 3
Manuscript Presentation Guidelines

  • Presenation Length - 15-20 minutes, including Q&A time.
  • Manuscript - submission of a manuscript to FWRC is required by February 20, 2010, in advance of actual conference dates to enable publication in the proceedings CD.

STEP 4 ABSTRACT FORMATTING GUIDELINES
Format the body of the abstract as directed:
  • Please select from the subject categories provided on the online submission form.
  • 300-400 words, no longer than one page, single spaced and non-commercial.
  • Set all margins at 1 inch (top, bottom, left and right).
  • Format the abstract title in all caps, bold face, 14 pt. Times font.
  • Submittal should be single-spaced, 12 pt. Times font.
  • Indicate if Manuscript has previously been submitted or published. If so, when, where, and at which conference.

SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

SELECTION: The FWRC Selection Committee will carefully review all abstracts submitted with the ultimate goal of forming a highly educational and informative conference that addresses topical and timely industry issues. All abstracts will be evaluated on content matter, market trend and relevance of the materials. Consultants and manufacturers may submit abstracts of a non-commercial nature, but all blatant commercial sales pitches will not be accepted.

NOTIFICATION: All primary authors will be notified in writing, whether selected or not, by April 21, 2010.

PRIMARY CONTACT RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary author will be responsible for meeting all deadlines and requirements regarding the presentaion. He/She must agree to submit a final manuscript to be included in the conference proceedings by March 1, 2010. The primary author also needs to notify FWRC - Tim Madhanagopal at 407-254-6701 or email Tim.madhanagopal@ocfl.net of any changes, additions, or corrections in author, paper title, or availability.
