Lift Station 34 Walking Tour
Tuesday, April 28, 2026 - 11:00am
Meeting Location: Ocean Center Lobby
Join us for a guided walking tour of Lift Station 34, one of the City of Daytona Beach’s master lift stations serving the beachside community.
Originally constructed in the 1970s as a dry pit/wet pit facility, the station has recently been replaced with a modern wet well equipped with submersible pumps to improve reliability and operational safety.
Participants will learn about the planning, design, and construction challenges associated with replacing an aging lift station on a tight site within an established residential neighborhood. The tour will highlight lessons learned related to maintaining service during construction, working within limited space, and coordinating improvements in a highly visible coastal community.
